Vigilante 4×4, the Texas-based craftsman behind some of the world’s most revered Jeep SJ restomods, has officially stepped into the electric age. Renowned for transforming Grand Wagoneers, Cherokees, and J-Trucks into thunderous HEMI-powered marvels, the brand is now charging forward with its first all-electric SJ chassis.
“This isn’t a replacement for our Vigilante HEMI offerings,” the company clarified in its announcement video. “It’s a total revisit of the Vigilante platform under electric power.”
Rather than a simple swap, this marks a complete reengineering from the ground up. Using precise 3D scans of original Jeep bodies, Vigilante’s engineers designed a bespoke EV architecture that captures the iconic lines of the SJ while embracing the possibilities of modern electric performance.
