Jeep Launches Limited Fathom Blue Edition Wrangler in Korea

Jeep Korea has introduced the Wrangler Unlimited Sahara Fathom Blue Edition, a limited-run color exclusive to the Korean market. The deep navy hue joins Jeep Korea’s “Color My Freedom” trilogy as its third and final special edition for 2025, following previous themes that celebrated boldness and individuality. Only 30 units will be built, split between 20 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara hardtops and 10 Gladiator Rubicon models.

The Fathom Blue color was chosen to symbolize “Quiet Freedom,” representing both depth and serenity. Jeep describes it as a tone that reflects personal calm while maintaining the brand’s rugged, go-anywhere attitude. Actor Kang Ha-neul, Jeep’s brand ambassador in Korea, personally selected the shade and became the first owner.

Distinctive Features and Limited Production

Each Fathom Blue Edition comes equipped with Jeep’s Mopar Sunrider Flip Top, allowing owners to open the section of roof above the front seats without sacrificing the rigidity of the hardtop. The feature is designed for drivers who want the open-air feel of a soft top with the practicality of an enclosed SUV. Beneath the hood, the Wrangler version is powered by the familiar 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder “Hurricane4” engine, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and Jeep’s Selec-Trac 4WD system. Output is rated at 272 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.

For the Gladiator Rubicon counterpart, the edition uses the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 delivering 284 horsepower and paired with the same eight-speed gearbox. Prices start at ₩82.9 million (about $59,000) for the Wrangler and ₩87.1 million (around $62,000) for the Gladiator. Both versions are limited to Korea, and Jeep says no global release is planned.

A Trend of Color and Customization

This isn’t the first time Jeep has experimented with striking paintwork. A couple weeks back, the brand reintroduced a fan-favorite finish when Reign Purple returned for the Jeep Wrangler, and hit the Gladiator for the first time. These exclusive colors reflect Jeep’s growing push to personalize its lineup and keep attention high in key markets through bold design choices and limited availability.

The Fathom Blue Edition continues that strategy while tailoring it to Korean buyers, where small-batch exclusivity and aesthetic storytelling carry strong appeal. The campaign builds on Jeep’s goal of infusing emotion into its 2025 model cycle, showing that even a heritage off-roader can evolve into a lifestyle statement.

Quality and Brand Focus

The launch also arrives as Jeep continues to face quality scrutiny in other markets. Recent recalls, including one affecting over 123,000 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs due to trim pieces detaching at speed, this underscores Stellantis’ efforts to balance creativity with consistency. The company also recalled nearly 92,000 hybrid models when the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe was found to risk sudden power loss.

Against that backdrop, the Korean debut of the Fathom Blue Edition highlights how Jeep is leaning on exclusivity, craftsmanship, and design polish to rebuild excitement around its core products.
